Veteran actor hoping to become professional voiceover artist
I am a native of St. Louis, Missouri, and have been acting primarily in theatre since high school. I have often been told that I have a pleasant speaking voice and I used to want to be an announcer. I did work in radio very briefly, recording commercials for a local station in Denver many years ago.
I am a prolific actor strongly influenced by the teachings of Stanislavsky. My repertoire includes Polonius in Hamlet (Nashville Shakespeare Festival), Wining Boy in The Piano Lesson (St. Louis Black Repertory Company), King of France in Henry V (St. Louis Shakespeare), Henry Brown in Race (Murfreesboro Little Theatre), Don Pedro in Much Ado About Nothing (Riverside Shakespeare Company), Troy Maxson in Fences (Centerstage Theatre), and many, many others. I have also appeared in many commercials and independent films, and have directed in theatre. I have very limited experience in voiceover, but I am hoping to change that soon.
My goal is to become a professional voiceover artist. I am in the process of developing a home studio from which to record. I currently use two condenser mics: Blue Yeti USB and AudioTecnica AT 2020 XLR powered by a Focusrite Scarlett audio interface and a Fethead preamp.
